I thought today I would start discussing the three different protein powders I have tried so far and let you know what I thought of each of them.

The first protein powder I bought was Body Fortress’s Premium Whey Protein. I took this protein at the very beginning of my transformation to add a little extra protein to my diet. It was cheap (around $14.00 a tub) and was available at Wal-Mart. I just threw it in the cart when we were grocery shopping and didn’t have to convince my wife we needed to make an extra purchase for my supplements.

The second protein powder I purchased was Optimum Nutrition’s Whey Protein (cookies and cream flavor). This was definitely a step up in taste and mixability but was much more expensive (around $42 for 5 lbs. from Amazon.com). I still have a little of this one left and take it from time to time.

The third protein powder I purchased was EAS Premium When Protein. I bought this protein powder at Costco and paid around $30 for a 6 lb. bag. This one is by far the least pleasant to drink as it mixes very poorly and tastes pretty bad. Since I can stomach just about anything, I still take this one every day. I haven’t decided yet if I will buy another bag. You just can’t beat the price.

Tomorrow, I will go more in depth on these three protein powders and give you the nutrition information, as well as my critique of each of them. Have a great day and don’t forget to workout and eat right. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
